we stand.
From 1 July 2026, providers delivering Supported Independent Living must hold full NDIS registration. One Doorway is already registered, so participants in our homes can expect continuity of support with no disruption.
Understanding the Changes
Mandatory NDIS Registration
From 1 July 2026, all providers delivering Supported Independent Living (SIL) must hold current NDIS registration.
Class 2A Requirements
Providers supporting participants with restrictive practices must also hold Class 2A registration, in addition to standard NDIS registration.
Transition for Some Participants
Participants receiving SIL supports from non-registered providers may need to transition to a registered provider before the new requirements take effect.

The new requirements strengthen provider oversight, helping ensure safer, higher-quality support for participants.
